NETBALL

Our vision.

Our vision is to provide all local children and adults the opportunity to participate in the sport of netball.

Our mission is to promote, encourage and foster unity in our community netball club that allows its members to play netball and develop their netball skills in a fun, safe and fair environment, with the necessary equipment, facilities and personnel.

Our future is a club that embraces diversity and equality. A club that encourages and welcomes all children in the community to participate in the sport of netball. A club that creates an environment where children feel they belong to the greater community, to play with familiar friends and meet new friends. A safe environment to have fun.

Participation in sport is an opportunity for all involved to demonstrate kind and supportive behaviour. All participants have a responsibility for providing a safe, inclusive and enjoyable space when participating in netball. By ensuring coaches, parents and spectators are aware of the expectations around behaviour and code of conduct we will continue to ensure players have a positive and enjoyable netball experience.

Racial, verbal or physical abuse or intimidating, harassing behaviour experienced by anyone while participating in netball should always be reported. This can be done either directly through the WINC or to the BDNA officials when players are competing on match day.

Child Safety

West Ivanhoe Netball Club is strongly committed to providing and promoting a safe, positive, and empowering environment for children and young people. Proactive measures are in place to ensure children and young people enjoy environments and experiences that ensure their physical, cultural and emotional safety. NetSetGo

West Ivanhoe NetSetGo started in 2013 at the West Ivanhoe Sporting Club.

This program is a skills-based clinic that teaches young kids aged 5-9 how to play netball, whether it be just for fun and fitness, or in preparation for them joining a junior team.

Our program runs on Saturday mornings along with our Auskick football program. This is a great way to experience our fantastic family club in action. There's a weekly sausage sizzle, the canteen is open for coffee and snacks, and there is a playground to keep the siblings busy!

West Ivanhoe Netball Club's NetSetGO program runs on Saturday mornings 9:30-10:30am, excluding school holidays and public holiday weekends) at Seddon Reserve, Ivanhoe netball courts. NetSetGo is starting on Saturday 2 March 2024 at 9:30. All welcome.
