NFNL “Junior Club of the Year” 2022

Based at Seddon Reserve, Ivanhoe, the West Ivanhoe Roosters are your local community Junior Footy club, welcoming families from Ivanhoe and beyond. We’re big believers that sporting clubs bring people together, fostering strong bonds within local communities.

We’re proud to have been named the Northern Football Netball League “Junior Club of the Year” in 2022, and believe this award strongly reflects our Club’s values - providing young footballers with an opportunity to:

have fun;
develop their skills;
participate in a team sport in an inclusive, family-based environment;
build a culture of respect towards participants, officials, families and spectators alike.

As a community club, we can only operate thanks to a team of dedicated volunteers. As such we welcome and encourage parents and friends to actively participate on the committee, in specific supporting roles, and assisting on each game day.

We warmly welcome all genders and all abilities to join us, and hope to see you down at the Roosters Nest soon!

OUR FOOTY PROGRAMS

NAB AFL Auskick makes learning to play AFL fun, safe and easy for boys and girls. It is a limited contact program, and through weekly coaching sessions kids will learn the skills of the game in an exciting, social and safe environment.

We offer Auskick on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings throughout the footy season, at locations in both West Ivanhoe and Heidelberg Heights

JUNIOR FOOTY

The West Ivanhoe Roosters compete in the Northern Football Netball League (NFNL).

In 2024, the Roosters are fielding Junior Football teams from Under 9’s through to Under 15’s. Depending on age group, there is limited contact, modified rules, and reduced ground size.

While many of our players come through the Auskick program, we welcome new players into all age groups.

All genders and all abilities welcome!
